Artist Statement
I have been an artist all of my life, from the clay candleholder I made in nursery school, until the present time. My work is an instinctive form of interpretative communication. It is through this expression that I hope to have an emotional impact on others.
Art is something that I do because I enjoy creating my interpretation or vision. Art for me is a personal journey that is forever being cultivated. It is a form of escape and a source of therapy. I believe art is a way to have a conversation with others. A way to express my own evolving images.
I enjoy working with color and in different mediums, including oils, watercolors, colored pencils and pastels. I work from real life subjects, photos, memories, and my own feelings and imagination.
I hope you enjoy my art as much as I did creating it.
